| Who are you? |
We're a couple of artists who were having a
very hard time finding a directory that was actually displaying
our artwork as a primary link to our site. Text links don't cut
it when there are thousands of artists to choose from. Art collectors
and buyers are forced to go through a list of undiscovered names
with no guarantee that they will find the artwork they love. We
decided to solve that problem by letting the artwork sell itself.
Rather than hiding your talent behind text link after text link,
we think your art is better exposed on our homepage
and our image-based directory.
|
| Won't my artwork just get lost
among the thousands of artwork displayed on a single page? |
No. And we can prove it. Take
a look at our mock-up page.
As you scan the through hundreds of art pieces, your eyes automatically
stop at the ones you identifies as familiar, pleasurable and appealing.
In fact, it is much easier for art buyers to find art on
our homepage layout than it is in most directories online. |
| How did you come up with the
idea? |
Adding our site to free directories
online wasn't giving us the kind of exposure we were looking for.
We believe our artwork is good enough to sell itself and we wanted
the option to display our work on a prominent page that was simple,
organized and visually pleasing. The directories we did find were
charging hundreds of dollars that we couldn't afford. Since we couldn't
find any affordable directories online that could market our site
better than the free ones, we decided to build one and share it
with artists worldwide. |
| Why is this a historical project? |
Besides our intention of better
marketing your artwork, the country-specific links will display
an array of artwork that will illustrate the vision of the artwork
in the region. The project will display differences and similarities
among regions according to their proximity, history, economic growth
and population. |
| How long will the site be online? |
We are aiming towards a lifetime
but guarantee at least a year from the date of the last joining
artist. |
